Taking place on the first Monday of May every year, the Met Gala 2023 was nothing less than a glittering show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City. Met Gala is also known as "The Oscars of the East Coast" or "Fashion's Biggest Night" and serves as the Super Bowl of fashion. The show allows top names from various walks of life to come together and walk the red carpet, making their style statements. As the Met Gala Monday night 2023 took place on May 1, several athletes walked the red carpet, proving that these stars can shine on as well as off the field.

The theme of the Met Gala 2023 was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty," which was a tribute to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who worked for brands like Chanel and Chloé, and rose to fame with his monochromatic innovations. The tennis legend Roger Federer was one of the chairs for the night and was one of the early arrivals with his wife Mirka Federer.

Addressing the press at the Met Gala 2023, he said, "We're fortunate to get onto covers much more frequently nowadays. Before it was always the models, the good-looking people, not the athletes. Life has been so intertwined between sports and fashion in recent years, so it's nice to come out on a type of red carpet like this.”

Other than Federer, it was another tennis champion, Serena Williams who walked the ramp in a structured Gucci dress and used the occasion to announce her pregnancy.

A few other sporting stars that walked the red carpet include names like Former NBA star Dwyane Wade, WNBA player Brittney Griner, NBA star Russell Westbrook and Stefon Diggs. A few more names gracing the carpet were the Olympian Eileen Gu, Motorsport star Daniel Ricciardo, and many more.
