Chris Gayle's style of batting has become synonymous with the Indian Premier League as the Caribbean batter has graced the tournament with his blistering knocks on several occasions. His unbeaten 175-run knock against now-defunct Pune Warriors India in 2013 is still the highest run score in India's T20 domestic tournament. While Gayle surprised many by opting himself out of the 15th edition of the league, he has given a glimpse of something interesting.

Gayle, who will be turning 43 later this year, is already prepping up for the next edition of the Indian Premier League and sweating out in Gym. He posted a series of videos on his Instagram story where he can be seen sweating it in the Gym with an intense workout session. Gayle posted one of his videos with the caption, "Work just start!! Let's go. In prep for IPL next year!" The development will surely send Gayle's fans into ecstasy as the prolific batter enjoys a massive fan following in India.

The 42-year-old batter has represented a couple of franchises in the Indian Premier League since his debut in 2009 for Kolkata Knight Riders. Later, he also provided his services to Royal Challengers Bangalore and shared the dressing room with the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The trio was regarded as one of the most lethal combinations in the league and proved everyone right with some exciting performances.

Meanwhile, it must also be noted that the charismatic batter is the seventh-highest run-getter in IPL history, having amassed 4965 runs from 142 appearances averaging 39.72 and a strike rate of 148.96, including six centuries which is the most by a batter in the history of the competition. In January this year, the two-time T20 World Cup winner surprised many by opting himself out of the tournament as he personally decided to stay unavailable for the cash-rich league.
