India is currently hosting England for a five-match Test series. While the visitors clinched the opening Test by 28 runs, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India bounced back in style to level the series 1-1 in Vizag. As the two sides took the field in the third Test, early on Thursday, February 15 in Rajkot, the hosts won the toss and opted to bat first.
The World Test Championships 2023 runners-up did not have the start they were hoping for as last-match star player Yashasvi Jaiswal departed after adding only 10 runs, Shubman Gill was dismissed for a 10-ball duck, followed by Rajat Patidar. After losing three wickets in quick succession, fans were quick to react on social media.
It was Shubman Gill who hogged the limelight after being dismissed for a duck for the second time in the ongoing Test series. While the social media flooded with criticism pouring in for Gill, a few fans also remembered Cheteshwar Pujara, who has been a prolific Test batter for the Men in Blue.

Speaking of the ongoing third Test between India and England, the hosts’ scoreboard read 93/3 after 25 overs at Lunch on Day 1. While skipper Rohit Sharma reached his half-century, he is joined by Ravindra Jadeja (24) in the middle.
