After 2 months of IPL extravaganza, Indian players will return for international cricket on their home soil. With lot of senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah being rested, it gives an opportunity to young Indian talents to feature in the Playing XI. Players like Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh have got a chance to be in India's squad after their stunning performance in IPL 2022.
Rishabh Pant, who has lead Delhi Capitals in the last two IPL seasons (2021 & 2022), will be getting an opportunity to lead the Indian side for the first time. Earlier this year, India and South Africa had an opportunity to play each other in 2 Test matches and 3 ODIs on African soil. India ended up losing all 5 matches to South Africa. It will be interesting to see whether India can continue their winning run in T20Is against a confident SA side.
