Following a washout in the opening match and a loss in the second T20I, Suryakumar Yadav-led Team India will aim to go all out as they take on Aiden Markram-led South Africa in the third and final T20I on Thursday, 14 December at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
After a duck for both the Indian openers, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh’s half centuries helped the team steer to 180-run on the board before rain came into play, halting the inning at 19.3 overs. With continuous showers, the match was cut short to 15 overs with South Africa needing 152 runs to win the match and take a lead, which they successfully chased in 13.5 overs.
However, looking forward to the final T20I, the weather in Johannesburg is expected be sunny with periods of clouds during the day and afternoon, as per Accuweather. Although the weather could take a turn in the evening and night on Thursday, 14 December.
While the temperature is likely to drop from 28 degree Celsius to 15 degree Celsius in the night, the probability of precipitation is set to increase to 40 per cent. With increasing cloud cover, thunderstorm is also likely to hit some areas, as per Accuweather. If so happens, there might be some delay or halt in game in Johannesburg.
