After the conclusion of the three-match T20I series, Team India and Sri Lanka will regroup in Guwahati to resume their preparation for the 50-over World Cup 2023, as the neighbours are scheduled to play three ODIs, starting on January 10 (Tuesday). While Sri Lanka will more or less play the same squad which played in the T20Is, Team India will see the return of a couple of star players in the squad.

Rohit Sharma will be back as the leader, while Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will take the onus in the middle order.
