Middle Order: Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill , KS Bharat

untitled 2 5

Virat Kohli will once again be the key player in the middle order for India. The former India captain has not looked in the best touch in red-ball cricket but as he has been among the runs in white-ball cricket lately, Kohli might end the drought in Tests too. Shreyas Iyer who has consolidated his position in the middle order with consistent performances might miss out on the first two Tests as he is yet to recover from a back injury. So, Shubman Gill might replace Iyer in the Playing XI.

Meanwhile, in the absence of Rishabh Pant, KS Bharat should be India’s choice for wicketkeeper although he might not possess Pant’s pyrotechnics.
