India and South Africa took on each other in the second T20I of the three-match series on Sunday (2 October). After getting an invitation to batting first, Rohit Sharma-led India put on a carnage as they put a massive 237/3 on the board in their 20 overs. KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Dinesh Karthik wreaked havoc on almost every South African bowler.

South Africa were still recovering from their terrible bowling performance when Arshdeep Singh struck twice to remove Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw in the same over. Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram, however, took South Africa’s innings forward.

But the play had to be stopped as one of the floodlights at the stadium went off. The incident took place in the third over of South Africa's innings as suddenly one of the towers stopped functioning. The play had to be stopped for quite a significant time before the action could resume.

Earlier, the match was paused for a bizarre reason as a snake was seen on the outfield. Nevertheless, all these stoppages could not stop the fun Indian players had on the field. While batting, India thrashed South African bowlers all around the park. Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul, in particular, were flawless in their approach.

Virat Kohli too joined the party after nudging a few balls. The former India captain stayed unbeaten on 49 off 28 balls. Dinesh Karthik finished things off for India with a 7-ball 17*.

When it came to bowling, Arshdeep Sigh and Deepak Chahar provided another great start for India. Singh was impressive in his first over as he bagged the wickets of the opposition captain and dangerous Rossouw. Meanwhile, Axar Patel got Aiden Markram. But David Miller was yet to come and when he did, it was all fours and sixes. The southpaw scored a 25-ball fifty to nullify India's potent bowling attack.
