The Indian Women' team is set to tour Australia for a bilateral series in September, which was originally scheduled to be played in January this year, but was officially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in a recent development, it is being stated that the series is rescheduled in the 2020-2021 calendar and will also see an expansion to the original plan.

With the rescheduling of the tour, The Women in Blue will be visiting Australia for an expanded assignment, including 3 T20Is in addition to originally planned 3 ODIs.

Busy schedule for Indian team

It would be a busy overseas outing for the Indian Women's team, who have a lot of cricketing action planned for them. At the earliest, the team is due to tour England for a multi-format assignment, which includes a one-off Test match in Bristol and 3 ODIs and 3T20Is.

The long tour is set to commence on June 16 and will conclude on July 15.

Just after the tour, some of the Indian players will be featuring in the inaugural edition of the ‘Hundred’, starting from July 21, while some will be participating in the seventh edition of Women’s Big Bash League, which is to be played in October-November window.
