Bangladesh bowlers produced excellent breakthroughs towards the end of Day 3 by dismissing the top four batters including Virat Kohli in the 2nd Test match against India. While chasing 145, KL Rahul and Shubman Gill opened the innings for the visitors but could not live up to the reputation as Mehidy Hasan Miraz bagged two wickets and Shakib Al Hasan picked one wicket.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli added a lot of spice in the middle after he expressed his anger with Bangladesh cricketers, who celebrated his wicket in a way that irked the legendary batter. It was the 20th over of India's 2nd innings when the Indian batter tried to defend the good length delivery, which took an inside edge followed by a sharp low-key catch by Mominul Haque at short leg. The Bangladesh fielder showed excellent reflexes as he grabbed a stunner, inches close to the ground.

While Kohli was already disappointed with his dismissal, Bangladesh players celebrating his wicket in front of him irked the batter. Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan had to intervene. The Bangladesh skipper told his men to keep calm as the job was yet to be done.

While batting first Bangladesh could only post 227-10 in 73.5 overs after Mominul Haque batted brilliantly to score 84 off 157 deliveries. However, India produced a decent fightback by putting up 314 on board as Rishabh Pant (93 off 105) and Shreyas Iyer (87 of 105) stitched a crucial partnership in the middle.

Brilliant spells from Axar Patel, Md Siraj, and R Ashwin posed a tough challenge to Bangladesh batters in the 2nd innings as the hosts could only manage to put 144 as the target. Liton Das batted significantly well as he scored 73 runs and guided his side to a competitive total.
