With the Indian cricketing calendar currently at halt for a month, with the next big assignment being the Men’s Asia Cup in the UAE, the action is soon set to be shifted towards the domestic cricket calendar. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday, August 8 announced the much-anticipated domestic cricket schedule for the 2025-26 season, consisting of the Duleep Trophy, Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtag Ali Trophy and others.

The Indian domestic cricket calendar is set to commence with the Duleep Trophy, set to be played from August 28 till September 15, followed by the Z R Irani Cup, which will be held from October 1 to 5. The action will then move to the prestigious Ranji Trophy, which takes place in two parts - The Elite and the Plate. While the Elite will be held from in three phases until February 28, 2026, the Plate will be played in two phases until January 26, 2026.

Furthermore, the white-ball tournaments — the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will be held between the two phases of red-ball cricket. On the other hand, the Senior Women’s Trophy will start from October 8, whereas the other major domestic cricket tournament in the women’s category - Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy will begin from February 6, 2026.
