Some of the Indian players including Suryakumar Yadav visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain ahead of India’s third ODI against New Zealand. As the third ODI is set to be played in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, the players took out their time to offer prayers before Lord Shiva in the famous temple of Ujjain. And as Suryakumar Yadav has revealed, the players offered prayers for Rishabh Pant’s speedy recovery.
Pant, who is still recovering from the injuries he suffered during a car accident back in December will be out of action for several months. Meanwhile, Yadav said that the wicketkeeper batter is really important for the team and hence everyone wants him back on his feet as soon as possible.
"We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us. We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them," Suryakumar Yadav was quoted saying by ANI.
Notably, Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, and Washington Sundar reached Mahakal temple with the staff of the Indian cricket team early Monday morning. The players and the staff also participated in the 'Bhasma Aarti' of Lord Shiva which was performed in the early morning hours at the temple.
