Sunrisers Hyderabad have not had a good start to IPL 2021, after losing both their opening games, their middle order has struggled to pile on significant runs in both the games. As the side are up against defending champions Mumbai Indians, fans expected to see a much experienced and newly acquired Kedar Jadhav in place of all-rounder Vijay Shankar.

Given that MI have a terrific pace and spin attack, SRH fans wanted to see a much more matured batting line-up. And knowing Kedar Jadhav has the composure for the same, he could’ve been a good fit for Jason Holder's vacant spot in the team. It is worth noting that Jadhav has wealth of knowledge playing at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and he could have been a pivotal change for the team rather than Vijay Shankar in terms of batting. More importantly in the previous game against RCB, Vijay Shankar collapsed on just 3 runs off 5 balls.

Fans unhappy on social media as Jadhav misses a spot in playing XI

Having said that, Shankar had been effective with the bowl against MI in the game as he provided the much-needed breakthroughs for his team by dismissing Rohit Sharma on 32 runs and Suryakumar Yadav on just 10 runs by taking an outstanding catch on his own bowling. In his 3-over spell, Shankar gave away just 19 runs at an economy rate of 6.3 runs per over.
