In a latest development, a second foreign player from the Delhi Capitals squad has tested positive for COVID-19. The result is from a Rapid Antigen Test conducted on Wednesday and happens to be the sixth positive in the Delhi camp. It is further being reported that another round of testing will be conducted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before Delhi's match against Punjab later this evening.

As soon as the result has returned positive, the players have been asked to move to their respective rooms and indoor testing will be arranged by the BCCI. For now, it is being learned that the match will be played with those players who test negative but things could turn awry with this infection as has been the past experience.

Earlier all-rounder Mitchell Marsh had tested positive and the game was shifted from Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium to Brabourne Stadium to reduce the risk of transmission during a long-distance bus journey, in case of an undetected case.  A report carried out by news agency PTI has claimed the second player to be Tim Seifert, however, an official confirmation is still awaited.
