Along with international cricket, the southpaw isn’t looking good enough to get match-fit for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Pant has been leading the Delhi Capitals side in the last two editions. However, due to his absence, the franchise is expected to announce the stand-in captain for the side in the due course of time.

Here are the 3 players who can lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023:

1. David Warner   warner sportstiger

The experienced Australian cricketer is the finest overseas batter in the cash-rich T20 league. He has amassed 5,581 runs in 162 appearances at an average of 42.01, with 54 fifties and four centuries. He has won the orange cap in 2015, 2017, and 2019 editions.

Furthermore, Warner has a rich leadership experience in the IPL. Out of 69 games, he has tasted victories in 35 games. Under his captaincy, Sunrisers Hyderabad secured their maiden title in the 2016 season. Being a senior batter with and strong track record in the tournament, Warner tops this list to replace Warner as a DC skipper in 2023.
