The Indian Premier League 2023 concluded after nearly two months of breathtaking cricket. While the league stage saw the defending champions Gujarat Titans finish on top of the points table, ahead of four-time champions Chennai Super Kings. However, it was the MS Dhoni-led side who finished on top, to lift their fifth title at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

There were many young and experienced players across all the IPL teams who delivered exceptional results with bat, ball, and in the field this year. But for some other cricketers, their performances in the league season were nothing short of disappointing, in more ways than one. In this article, SportsTiger will look at the XI players who have flopped big time in the IPL 2023.

Rohit Sharma (c) - The captain of Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma played all the 16 matches in the IPL season, but he managed to score only 332 runs at subpar average of 20.75 and a paltry strike-rate of 132.80. Even while leading MI to the league playoffs, Sharma won’t be quite happy with his batting exploits in this year’s tournament.

2. Prithvi Shaw - Amidst all the controversy surrounding Prithvi Shaw in his personal life, he did turn up to play for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023. But his performances as a batter were very poor to say the least, getting only 106 runs in eight matches at 13.25 average and 124.71 strike-rate.
