Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 15 runs and entered the finals of the IPL 2023 in style. Talking about qualifier-1 of IPL 2023, GT winning the toss, opted to bowl first and let CSK post a total of 172/7 in 20 overs with the help of a brilliant 87-run opening partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway and a stunning all-round show from Jadeja also helped their cause.
Gujarat Titans kept losing wickets at regular intervals as their batters failed to read the spin-bowling attack of the Chennai bowlers. Gill at the top scored 42 runs, and Rashid Khan scored quick-fire 30 runs with the bat, but unfortunately, none of their other batters stepped up on the big occasion to save Gujarat.
