MI have created history in the 1000th IPL match by chasing 213 runs against RR in match number 42 of IPL 2023. MI defeated RR by six wickets with the help of Tim David's monstrous hitting, which saw him score 45 runs from just 14 balls, a knock which included five sixes where a hat-trick of sixes came in the last over of the innings bowled by Jason Holder.
Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green also played brilliant knocks in middle overs to keep their side alive in the run-chase. Rajasthan Royals, unfortunately, ended in a losing cause despite a terrific hundred from Yashasvi Jaiswal, who went on to record 124 runs from 62 balls as an opener when all batters in RR failed to score even 20 runs.
