As the IPL reaches its business end of the tournament, Gujarat Titans will take on Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the second qualifier of the season. The Gujarat Titans' magical run faced a hiccup as they were blown away by the Chennai Super Kings in the first qualifier by 15 runs. GT will be desperate to win this game and grab their ticket to the finals. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, have made a sublime comeback this year after a dreadful 2022 season and steamrolled the Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminator by 81 runs.
While Gujarat will be eager to become the third team to defend their title in consecutive years, Mumbai faced difficulties in the starting phase of the tournament, but have returned strongly. The overpowered batting lineup has complimented well to the inexperienced, yet able bowling attack. If Mumbai win the game, they will qualify for the finals for the seventh time and will face arch-rivals CSK in the finals for the fourth time. MI and GT have crossed each other's paths three times so far. MI have got the better of GT in two games while GT has won one game.
