Sunrisers Hyderabad had a terrific IPL 2023 auction which
witnessed them filling their gaps. Ahead of the auction, the franchise had
released a plethora of players, with the prominent being Kane Williamson and
Nicholas Pooran. Certainly, they needed quality batters as well as the captain
for the forthcoming edition.
In this regard, SRH did well to secure the services of
Mayank Agarwal, Harry Brook, Heinrich Klaasen, Akeal Hosein, and Adil Rashid. With
their addition, SRH now looks like a complete squad, which is not dependent on

1. Mayank Agarwal
The top-order batter had a bad IPL 2022, wherein he could score only 196 runs in 13 innings at an average of 16.33 for Punjab Kings. Moreover, the Kings could not be proficient enough to make an entry into the playoffs. However, Mayank holds an experience in 113 IPL games and has also led the Karnataka state team as well.
The composed batter can pace the innings well at the top
order. He can play the role of an anchor and accelerate at the end. After David
Warner, none of the players could excel in this craft, which was needed by the
franchise. As a result, Mayank is likely to be entrusted with this role.
