Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had a forgettable season last year as the four-time champions could not advance to the playoffs. In fact, they finished eighth on the points table. The change in captaincy did not augur well for the defending champions and Ravindra Jadeja eventually had to give up the post. With MS Dhoni set to lead the Men in Yellow for yet another season, the team is likely to make serious amends to its squad.
As the IPL 2023 Mini Auction is around the corner and the ten franchises are close to announcing their retention list, CSK are expected to retain only a handful of players. It will be interesting to see if Ravindra Jadeja finds a place on that retention list.
