Rajasthan Royals will be hosting the Punjab Kings in their first home game in this year’s IPL. The Royals got off to a flying start in IPL 2023. The top order was in sublime form as all the three opening batters scored quickfire fifties. Rajasthan Royals registered their highest powerplay score till now as they were 85/1 at the end of the powerplay, which also was the highest so far in IPL 2023. The Royals had a near perfect match as they sealed it off with a victory margin of 72 runs, which remains the highest in this year’s IPL.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings will also be aiming to continue their winning run, after registering their first win against KKR. After Prabhsimran Singh played a short cameo, skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Bhanuka Rajpaksa took the KKR bowling lineup to the cleaners. Arshdeep Singh swung his magic and disintegrated the KKR lineup as he finished with match winning figures of 3/19.
It will be interesting to see how the Guwahati pitch plays as the game progresses. Both the teams will be itching to keep their winning streak intact. A cracker high scoring match is expected.
