IPL 2024: 5 Indian players who may not play single match

Indian Premier League’s 17th edition is set to commence on March 22 with defending champions Chennai Super Kings scheduled to face Royal Challengers Bangalore in the southern derby in Chennai. IPL has seen many young talents who shine at the biggest stage of IPL and have made their ranks in the Indian team for a longer time which includes Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, and the list is countless. However, with the ever-growing competition in the league, many players remain unnoticed or remain in the backseat owing to a single bad performance or non-selection in the playing 11. In this article, we will take a look at the players who will not get a single match in IPL 2024. Jaydev Unadkat The Indian left-arm pacer has played 94 games in his IPL career and picked up 91 wickets at a strike rate of 21.36. His best IPL season came in 2017 where he picked up 24 wickets in the 12 games with the best bowling figures of 5/30. However, Unadkat, who will be seen in the Sunrisers Hyderabad dugout this season may not be seen playing a single game for the franchise as the Pat Cummins-led team is already stacked up with the pacers from India as well as abroad. Indian pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and T. Natarajan are already in their ranks. Hence, it is highly unlikely that will get a game this season. #PAGE_BREAK# Shreyas Gopal The Indian leg-break bowler, who has registered a hat-trick in the IPL against the quality batting side of Royal Challengers Bangalore, will be seen playing for the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the upcoming season. The leggie, who has played 49 matches in the IPL has picked up 49 wickets with an impressive strike rate of 19.37. However, this season, he might not play a game in the whole season with the presence of Piyush Chawla, Kumar Kartikeya, and Shams Mulani already in their ranks. #PAGE_BREAK# Kartik Tyagi The young Indian pacer who can clock 145+ kmph consistently will be seen in the Gujarat Titans camp in the upcoming edition of the IPL. In the 19 matches he has played in the IPL, the young pacer has picked up 15 wickets with a strike rate of 26.53. With no impressive records to his name, the Uttar Pradesh bowler can be seen warming benches for the whole season as GT already have Mohit Sharma, Mohammad Shami, and Umesh Yadav in their ranks. #PAGE_BREAK# Srikar Bharat The Indian wicket-keeper who is a part of the Indian cricket team in the Test format will be seen in the KKR jersey this season. He has played 10 matches in the IPL and registered just 199 runs with the highest score of unbeaten 78. However, this season he is not likely to feature in any IPL game owing to the already packed line-up of the SRK-owned team. The team comprises Gurbaz as a specialist keeper and have Rinku, Shreyas, and Venkatesh to play in the middle order. #PAGE_BREAK# Navdeep Saini The Haryana pacer who is currently out of the Indian team will be seen playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024. The Indian pacer, who has scalped 23 wickets in the 32 games, will be seen alongside the Indian fast bowling strength of Sandeep Sharma, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Sen, and Avesh Khan. With so much artillery already in their ranks, it is possible that Sanju Samson may not open with Navdeep in the whole season.
