As per a report published by Cricbuzz, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has narrowed down the dates for the auctions and is likely to be hosted outside of India. Although no official notification has been sent to the franchises, reports add that the auction will be staged in Dubai between December 15 and 19.

While the last year’s auction was initially scheduled to be staged in Istanbul, but eventually was conducted in Kochi. However, the plan might be a tentative one, all ten IPL franchises have reportedly been informed of the consideration of Dubai as the venue.

On the other hand, the BCCI is yet to convey the venue and dates of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction. Neither are the teams informed of the same nor have been there any confirmation on whether the tournament will be staged at a single venue or across the subcontinent, similar to the IPL.
