Punjab Kings are all set to start their IPL 2024 campaign on Saturday, March 23, against Delhi Capitals at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh. Both of the sides have never won an IPL trophy in the 17 editions of the cash-rich league and will look to end the title drought this time around.
The hosts will be playing in the newly built Mullanpur stadium which will be hosting the first ever IPL match on Saturday. Their bowling arsenal looks impeccably sorted with the likes of Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada, Sam Curran, and Nathan Ellis who are all set to wreak havoc on the opposite batting numbers.
Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, will be bolstered by the return of their regular skipper Rishabh Pant, who has been granted permission to play as a keeper-batter in the upcoming IPL and will also lead the Delhi-based side. Their ace South African pacer Anrich Nortje’s return will also relieve the management.
