The 2024 season of the Indian Premier League ended in all its glory, with Kolkata Knight Riders being crowned champions for the third time. The grand final of one of the most dramatic seasons of the cash-rich league had KKR clashing against SunRisers Hyderabad. Shreyas Iyer and Co. played classic cricket to end the game much earlier than scheduled time. The 17th edition of the cricketing showpiece saw a few players displaying remarkable skills and prowess and leaving their mark over others.

Openers: Virat Kohli (RCB), Sunil Narine (KKR)
Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain and batting wizard Virat Kohli was at his best in the IPL 2024. Kohli scored 741 runs in 15 games and finished as the highest run-scorer in the season, and ended up winning the Orange Cap. The RCB star batted at the top of the order and was consistent for the entire season. Sunil Narine, on the other hand, went all guns blazing and made headlines more as a batter this season. Narine came on the top of the order and played a crucial role in KKR’s successful campaign.
