The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has finally reached its penultimate stage and will see a new champion. In the summit clash, which is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahemdabad, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on Punjab King (PBKS). However, both teams are coming of a fantabulous season, the Rajat Patidar-led side advanced into the final after registering a win in Qualifier 1. On the other hand, PBKS are coming into the summit clash after beating former champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) by five wickets.
While the two sides have locked horns thrice in this season, RCB are coming after two straight wins, while PBKS won the first game that they played this season against RCB. In their last game, which came in IPL 2025 Qualifier 1 last week, RCB bowlers dominated PBKS right through their batting innings. Suyash Sharma, the right-arm leg spinner, was a star of the show for RCB, taking three crucial wickets, to help restrict PBKS to 101 runs in 14.1 overs before Phil Salt’s unbeaten fifty took them over the finishing line with eight wickets in hand and 10 overs to spare.
