SportsTiger understands that the schedule for the Indian Premier League 2024 season will be announced, before the start of the Women's Premier League, on February 23. The MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings created history in 2023 after beating Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans to win their fifth IPL and join arch-rivals Mumbai Indians as the franchise with the most titles in tournament history.

The IPL 2023 was an extravagant affair with the show-piece tournament returning to the home and away format after three years of COVID-19 protocols. Gujarat Titans topped the league stage while Sunrisers Hyderabad finished at the bottom of the table. Then in the playoffs, CSK surged to win the title thanks to Ravindra Jadeja's heroics.
