At the post match presentation after Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets, MS Dhoni made a startling comment about his playing days and said, “It’s last phase of my career,” to start off the chat with Harsha Bhogle.

MSD also talked about enjoying the game however long he plays and appreciated the crowd at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai for their love and affection towards him. Furthermore, he liked the fact that CSK fans always stay late at the ground to listen to him no matter the result of the match.

Talking about the match, it was MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings, who won the toss and sent the opposition into bat even though he was hesitant to bat second. Sunrisers Hyderabad started their innings reasonably well in the powerplay before losing the wicket of Harry Brook for 18(13) as the score read 35/1 in 4.2 overs. Abhishek Sharma, who got the chance to open the batting for SRH for the second time this IPL, staged a good partnership of 36 off 30 deliveries with Rahul Tripathi before both batters got out to Ravindra Jadeja in quick succession.

Afterwards, the SRH innings fell away drastically as they finished with 134/7 in their allotted 20 overs. The left-handed opening batter, Abhishek Sharma top scored for Hyderabad with 34(26), while Ravindra Jadeja got figures of 3/22 in his four overs.

In their run chase, CSK began with a fantastic opening stand of 87 in 11 overs from Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway. Shortly afterwards, Chennai lost a couple of quick wickets of Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu but the victory was never out of the question. It was Devon Conway who batted right throughout and scored 77 off 57 deliveries with 12 fours and 1 six to help steer Chennai Super Kings over the line for a 7 wicket win against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
