Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah turned out to be a lone warrior in the bowling unit in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy down under. Coming as an stand-in skipper in the first Test in Perth, Bumrah led from the front and delivered a match winning bowling performance as India registered a famous 295-run victory to take a lead. The right-arm pacer took five wickets in the first innings and scalped three in the second innings.

Jasprit Bumrah continued his fiery bowling in the second and third Test as well taking four scalps in Adelaide and registering six-wicket haul in Brisbane where Australia posted 445 in the first innings. Despite not getting much support from the other bowlers in the ongoing series, the right-arm has backed the Indian bowling lineups and also believes the team is currently going through a transition.

This is the journey that you'll have to go through: Jasprit Bumrah

India took a 1-0 lead after winning the first game in Perth by 295 runs. However Australia bounced back in the day-night Test in Adelaide and levelled the series with a 10 wicket win. The hosts are also in a strong position in the ongoing third Test in Brisbane and also have a chance to enforce India to follow-on with two days remaining in the Test. Taking about India’s bowling, Jasprit Bumrah said that he has to help the other bowlers as he is little more experienced among all.

“As a bowling unit, as I said, we are in transition, so it's my job to help the others. I have played a little more than them, so I am trying to help them. But again, everyone will learn through it, will get better, and eventually will find different ways. So this is the journey that you'll have to go through," Bumrah said in press conference after day three as quoted in Crictracker.
