Prema Racing driver Jehan Daruvala registered a sensational victory as registered after winning the Feature Race in Monza, Italy with a brilliant drive. With this first-place finish, the 23-year-old driver also added a fourth overall career victory in F2. But this was his very first victory in the Feature race category.

Daruvala, previously, had finished on top of the podium in Monza last year as well where he had won the second Sprint race. On Sunday's F2 Feature race, the Indian driver maneuvered through a lot of chaos were only 14 cars took the chequered flag. Daruvala drove smartly and strategically and came in for a well-timed pitstop before a red flag to put himself and take the first-place position for the win.

Reacting to his race win, Daruvala talked about how the season had a difficult season so far but the recent results in Monza have made him extremely happy. He said, “A win in the Feature Race in Monza, I’m really, really happy. My first win of the year, also a Feature Race. It’s been a difficult year a lot of the time, so I’m very, very happy.”

“We have a break now and it’s a good way to finish off, a podium yesterday and a win today in the main race. I can’t be more happy, big thanks to PREMA, we’ve been struggling in the past weeks and to bounce back strong at their home race really means a lot to both of us,” he continued.

Before the Feature Race, Daruvala bagged the P3 podium finish in the Sprint race on Saturday. The third-place finish on Saturday's Sprint Race was Jehan's seventh podium finish of the 2022 F2 season. The 23-year-old started fifth on the grid and finished the race seven seconds behind winner Juri Vips and runner-up Frederik Vesti.
