Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool manager, launched his own official Instagram account on Saturday, May 18, talking about how he wants to stay connected with 'Liverpudlians' after leaving the club at the end of this season. The 56-year-old also took a dig at Jose Mourinho by calling himself “The Normal One” in the bio, opposite of “The Special One” moniker given to himself by the Portuguese.

In his final season with Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp wasn’t able to bring any silverware to Merseyside. But, throughout his illustrious managerial tenure for the club, he won every major trophy for them, including the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League, the FA Cup, two League Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and the FA Community Shield.

After going live on Instagram with the account handle name (@kloppo), Jurgen Klopp sent out a video to address the Liverpool fans. The video also had clips from his time at the Merseyside club, including his unveiling, trophy celebrations, fist pumps, and more.

He said, “Dear Liverpudlians, we're getting closer to the end. On the eighth of October 2015, we met the first time properly. I would call it a love affair. From the first day, it was an absolutely incredible, incredible time. I enjoyed it so much and want to thank you so much for all the support you gave us over the years, for all the power you gave us.”

“I've wondered always that it feels like we write a story together and that's how it feels today. It's a good book. And if we read it in the future, we will have a smile on our face. Leaving this incredible place is hard, but I want to stay in contact with you. And even when I'm not a social media guy, people told me social media helps with that. So, here we go. See you!,” concluded Jurgen Klopp.

Just a couple of hours after launching his Instagram, Jurgen Klopp has amassed more than 500k followers and this number is rising by the second.
