Delhi Capitals who are having a disappointing season of the Indian Premier League have recently faced another major blow, where the fast-bowling sensation of the Delhi-based franchise, Kamlesh Nagarkoti has been ruled out of the season due to a back injury. Kamlesh is yet to be featured in the tournament, but a recent report suggests that he will be missing out the rest of the season.

However, in his absence, Abhimanyu Easwaran and Priyam Garg have joined the Delhi camp on Wednesday as the team is expectedly to look out for his replacement for the upcoming season. Nagarkoti, the 23-year-old pacer has struggled with the back injuries in the past season of the tournament as well and has made just 12 appearances in the tournament this far. He made his debut in the famous T20 tournament following a back injury and missing out on the 2019 season.

Apart from the Indian Premier League, Kamlesh endured a poor performance in the domestic tournament with just seven wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022. He didn’t play any domestic cricket in 2023 and wasn’t able to make it to the playing eleven of Delhi Capitals in their first five games.

Notably, David Warner-led Delhi Capitals continue to hang at the bottom of the points table in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League without any win. They are set to clash with Kolkata Knight Riders on April 20 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
