The record-time Indian Premier League winners Mumbai Indians made it to Qualifier 2 as they took down Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator on May 2. They will now challenge the reigning champions Gujarat Titans to secure their spot in the final clash of the season opposite the four-time IPL winners, Chennai Super Kings. Singh, who was part of the MI squad till 2017 met mentor Sachin Tendulkar, skipper Rohit Sharma and batter Suryakumar Yadav as they dominated the Eliminator in Chennai. He was dressed in a blue-coloured shirt, resembling the jersey colour of his former team. In a video posted on the official social media handle of the franchise, the skipper told Singh that he should have been there on the field donning a Mumbai Indians jersey and bowled two overs. In the video, Harbhajan asked Sharma, “How are you?”, to which Sharma replied, “You should have donned Mumbai’s jersey, and bowled two overs in the match.” The 2011 World Cup-winning player replied, “agar kaptaan sahab bulayenge toh aayenge (If the Captain calls, I shall be there)”. He then went on to meet Sachin Tendulkar and Suryakumar Yadav and shared a few moments of laughter.
