The former England captain, Kevin Pietersen took to Twitter earlier today to share a pic of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. In his tweet, he thanked the Indian head of government for his admiration of wild animals and called him a 'hero' for the work done in the country to preserve their natural habitat.

The tweet from Kevin Pietersen, which was full of appreciation for PM Modi read, “ICONIC! A world leader who adores wild animals and is so excited when spending time with them in their natural habitat. Remember, for his last birthday, he released cheetahs into the wild in India. HERO, @narendramodi.”

Pietersen, a former T20 World Cup winner, also pointed out the fact that PM Modi was instrumental in bringing back cheetahs to India last year, after 7 decades of wait. Previously, Cheetahs, the world's fastest land animal, were declared extinct in the country in the 1950s.
