The Kolkata Knight Riders' chances of advancing to the playoffs were dashed during the game against Lucknow Super Giants. Many IPL fans witnessed a special occasion when the Super Giants paid tribute to the illustrious Mohun Bagan AC during the fixture. However, a disagreement that started outside the stadium outraged Mariners’ supporters, who are now blaming the KKR management for it. However, the franchise responded in its most recent statement.
After Mohun Bagan AC posted a comment about the circumstance on Twitter, a disagreement sprang out. Some supporters who attempted to enter Eden Gardens while wearing the Mohun Bagan AC shirt were reportedly turned away by management. The football team then released a press release criticising the Kolkata-based IPL franchise and denounced their behaviour, saying it was disrespectful to the National Club of India.
The Kolkata Knight Riders also issued a statement in response to the circumstances. The franchisee claimed that the information was "misleading" and that the KKR management was not responsible for their expulsion. There are some false rumours going around claiming the KKR management prevented some supporters from accessing Eden Gardens on May 20 during the KKR VS LSG IPL match.

LSG advanced to the playoffs by narrowly winning the game by one run. With the victory, LSG appropriately honoured the 132-year legacy of Mohun Bagan, one of the biggest football teams in India, and its sister ISL franchise.
