Kolkata Knight Riders, who finished at seventh place in IPL 2023, will be seen playing their tournament opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the iconic Eden Gardens on March 23. The side will be led by Shreyas Iyer, who missed the entire 2023 edition due to a back injury. The two-time champion, who won the IPL in 2012 & 2014, will also see their successful captain Gambhir return as mentor.

KKR's schedule for IPL 2024:
- vs SRH in Kolkata on 23rd March
- vs RCB in Bengaluru on 29th March
- vs DC in Visakhapatnam on 3rd April
The schedule of IPL 2024 has been announced only from 22nd March to 7th April, where KKR will be seen only playing three matches. The Shreyas Iyer-led side will be seen playing only their first match against SRH on their home soil with other two being in Bengaluru and Vizag.
