Krafton, the developer of the popular battle royale game BGMI, has dropped the teaser of the third edition of Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series BGMS 2024. On Saturday, July 27, Krafton announced the BMPS 2024. According to sources, it will be a LAN event, similar to the previous edition held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The finals are scheduled to take place in Kochi, India, from September 26 to 29. However, Krafton has not yet officially revealed the tournament's start date.

Fans waiting to see if the tournament will be open to all or invite-only should note that it is likely to be an invite-only event. While this has not been confirmed, it is expected that the format will be similar to the previous edition, where top teams from BGIS 2024 received direct invitations.

BGMS 2024 Expected Invited Teams

The BMPS event is expected to begin in mid-August, following the conclusion of BMPS Season 3, and will run through September. The finals will be a LAN event in Kochi. Similar to the previous edition, the event is anticipated to feature 100 to 120 teams, including those from Round 4 and top performers from previous tournaments, with many receiving direct invitations.

Top-tier teams such as Team XSpark, Team Soul, Godlike Esports, Global Esports, MOGO Esports, and Reckoning Esports are likely to receive direct invitations to the event. Although none of these details have been officially confirmed by Krafton, this is the likely scenario.

About BMPS 2023

BMPS 2023 was a historic event for BGMI, held in a large open stadium with a capacity of 8,000 attendees. The tournament was a significant milestone for Indian esports, with Blind Esports emerging as the champions at Eka Arena in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The event featured a prize pool of ₹10,000,000 and saw 96 invited teams compete in a long format. Blind Esports dominated the event, while Gladiators finished as runners-up, and Team iNSANE, led by Aadi, secured third place. Spower was named MVP of the tournament, while Aadi received the Best IGL award. Spower earned $3,612.63, and Aadi was awarded $2,408.42.
