Los Angeles Lakers played their 21st game of the NBA 2022-23 regular season on Friday night at the Fiserv Forum against Milwaukee Bucks and star forward LeBron James surpassed former Lakers legend Magic Johnson for the sixth place on the NBA’s all-time assists list.

LeBron James is averaging 25.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game in his 19th NBA season and the four-time champion is chasing multiple records in the 2022-23 season.

With more than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Lakers point forward assisted Anthony Davis for his three-point shot and passed Hall of Famer Magic Johnson for sixth-most assists in the history of NBA. LeBron James left two-point shy to record a triple double against the Bucks in the Saturday's game as the four-time NBA MVP registered 28 points, 11 assists and eight  rebounds after playing 37 minutes into the game.

LeBron James is now only behind the legendary point guards John Stockton, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Steve Nash and Mark Jackson in the list of all-time assists in the NBA. Additionally, the 37-year-old is also chasing another Laker great,  Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the all-time scoring leader in the NBA regular season history.

LeBron James is just 936 points away to break  the legendary  Abdul-Jabbar's record as the former Laker scored a total of  38,387 points in 1,560 games while LeBron have managed  37,451 points in 1,381 games so far. James has already become the all-time scoring leader in the NBA Playoffs with 7,631 points in 266 matches.
