Tennis maestro Roger Federer announced a few days ago that Laver Cup 2022 will be his last assignment in professional tennis as he has decided to hang his racquet. The 20-time Grand Slam champion will play for Team Europe alongside the likes of Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Casper Rudd, and Andy Murray for his last tournament.

Meanwhile, Team World has the likes of Felix Auger-Aliassime, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Jack Sock. The fifth edition of the tournament is set to kick off on Friday (23 September) and will go on till 25 September. The O2 Arena in London will be hosting the tournament. Notably, both teams have reached the venue and have started the practice as well.

Federer is expected to play only doubles match (likely alongside Rafael Nadal) before making way for Matteo Berrettini, who is a part of the team as an alternative player.
