Lawrence Stroll is a Canadian businessman who is also an executive chairman of Aston Martin and the owner of the Aston Martin F1 team. Lawrence Stroll was born to a Jewish family in Montreal. Stroll before buying an F1 team, contributed a lot to clothing brand design company Tommy Hilfiger and Michael Kors by investing in them with another Hong Kong investor Silas Chou. Notably, his son Lance Stroll competed in the F1 race for the Aston Martin team in 2023.

Lawrence Stroll got his start in the fashion world in the 1980s where in later years he went on to partner with Silas Chou and launched a company called Sportswear Holdings in 1989. Hilfiger's sales grew rapidly by touching $25 million in 1992, $70 million in 1993, $100 million in 1994, and by the end of the decade the annual revenue crossed over $1 billion to make it one of the most successful brands in history.
