During the Major League Soccer (MLS) match between Los Angeles FC and Inter Miami, on September 3, Sunday, some of the biggest stars from Hollywood made an appearance at the BMO Stadium, to watch the Argentine World Cup winning captain Lionel Messi in action, live and in person. In the first half, when La Pulga took a snapshot at the goal from close range, his attempt was blocked off by the goalkeeper John McCarthy, invoking a stunned reaction from Selena Gomez and Tyga.
The highly anticipated MLS match began with Inter Miami playing on the front foot, away from home. They opened the scoring in the 14th minute, when Facundo Farias put the ball in the far-left corner, past the diving Los Angeles FC goalie, while slipping in the process.

In the 38th minute, when Lionel Messi moved past a defender, after receiving an inch perfect pass from Diego Gomez, the goal was a foregone conclusion. But, in a stunning turn of events, John McCarthy was able to use his reflexes to great effect, to save the attempt at goal from the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner.
This had the actress, Selena Gomez, and the rapper, Tyga, dropping their jaws along with many others in the crowd at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

But this didn’t deter Lionel Messi, who went on to produce two assists in the second half, first setting up Jordi Alba in the 51st minute, before Leonardo Campana scored the third goal in the 83rd minute. The hosts Los Angeles FC did pull one goal back in the 90th minute, through Ryan Hollingshead, but his effort was too little and too late to make any real difference to the eventual outcome of the match.
