The IPL 2024 concluded with Kolkata Knight Riders defeating the Sunrisers Hyderabad to win the final by eight wickets. After a brilliant bowling display, SRH were bundled out at 113 in 18.3 overs thanks to Andre Russell's 3-23 in 2.3 overs. Then with the bat, the explosive Kolkata batting blasted SRH out of the game as they finished off the game in 10.3 overs.
Venkatesh Iyer scored 52 while Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit 39 to clinch the final. With this victory, Shreyas Iyer got on the elusive list of IPL-winning captains alongside legends like Shane Warne, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma.
