Brazilian legend Pele passed away at the age of 82 after being hospitalized for over a month time as he was suffering from cancer disease for a long period of time. Pele despite being born in a poverty-ridden family worked very hard to reach this level and won lot of hearts with his quick leg moments. Pele in his 14 years of international career with Brazil has achieved a lot of milestones and here in this article we will have some records achieved by Pele in his career.

1. Pele remains to be the only player to win 3 trophies in FIFA WC history. Pele has won 3 FIFA WC with Brazil team in 1958, 1962 & 1970.

2. Pele remains to be the youngest player to win FIFA WC in 1958 edition. Pele was only just 17 years & 249 days old when he won his maiden FIFA WC trophy. He is also the youngest player to have a hat-trick in FIFA WC history.

3. Pele holds the record for having smashed joint-most goals for Brazil team overall. He has scored 77 goals for Brazil team which is joint-most for that team with Neymar.

4. Pele holds the record for having most assists in FIFA WC overall. He has 8 assists in FIFA WC which is joint-most with Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi. Pele is the only player to provide 3 assists in FIFA WC final games.

5. Pele won six trophies in Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A with Santos in 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965 and 1968.

6. Pele has won two trophies with Santos in Intercontinental cup in 1962 & 1963 and he has also won two trophies with Copa Libertadores in 1962 & 1963.

7. Pele was top scorer in Copa America 1959 and also won best player award for that. Pele was also FIFA's best young player in the 1958 edition.
