Liverpool striker Sadio Mane is all set to join Bayern Munich for a fee of £35.1m. It is understood that Bayern will initially pay £27.5m and £5m when he completes a specified appearance clause. Another £2.5m will be paid based upon the individual and team’s achievements.

If the deal goes through, the Senegalese star will become the club’s third most expensive signing after Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane. The same has been claimed in a recent report by Sky Sports.

Mane had joined Liverpool in a deal worth £33.5m and had expressed his desire to leave the club, one year before his five-year contract ends in 2023. He played a key role in the team reaching the finals of the UEFA Champions League 2018 and 2019 while emerging as the winner in the latter season.

The 30-year-old was the joint top goal scorer in the 2018-19 edition of the Premier League. He eventually helped Liverpool win the 2019-20 edition of the Premier League, which ended a drought of 30 years.

Mane is the top goal-scorer for the Senegal national team with 33 goals in 91 appearances. He won the Player of the Tournament award for helping Senegal to lift their maiden title Africa Cup of Nations in the 2021 edition.

Sadio Mane is believed to have agreed to a three-year contract and is likely to witness him as a replacement player for Robert Lewandowski, who is leaving the club. His overall tally of 120 goals puts him in the 14th spot in Liverpool's all-time scoring charts. The club has secured the services of Darwin Nunez, with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino also entering the final year of their respective contracts.

In 34 matches of the 2021/22 season of Premier League, Mane has scored 16 goals.
