Throughout WWE’s history, we’ve seen multiple celebrities who stepped foot inside the squared circle. However, no other celebrity turned heads quite like Logan Paul. The YouTube-star-turned-WWE-superstar dropped multiple jaws, all thanks to his fight against Roman Reigns at the Crown Jewel premium live event.
The Maverick challenged The Tribal Chief for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. For weeks, Paul warned Reigns that it takes only ‘one lucky punch’ to become the champion. Moving into the match, the WWE fans wanted to see how an ‘outsider’ will perform against a main-eventer.
Since the start of the match, Paul was quick on his feet and delivered many unexpected moves. Before the match, Paul trained with the WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels for the fight, and it showed.
During the fight, Paul delivered Michaels’ signature flying elbow, following it up with a kickup. Paul also attempted a Sweet Chin Music, but Roman Reigns countered it with a Rockbottom of his own.
However, The Head of the Table took The Maverick to his limit and handed Paul some heavy blows to the body. During the match, Reigns put Paul in a headlock, and while Reigns held his opponent in a lock, he trash-talked and challenged KSI and Mr. Beast.
The biggest highlight of the match was when Paul delivered a splash on Reigns on top of the announcer's desk. However, Paul delivered the move while he was live streaming, looking at the camera, Paul screamed, “You’re going viral, Roman.”
In the end, Jake Paul and The Bloodline came down to the ring. ‘The Problem Child’ knocked out The Usos with two right hands, and the crowd erupted. Meanwhile, Reigns and Paul went at each other.
However, the distraction from The Bloodline was enough to cost Paul the match. In the end, Reigns’ hit The Maverick with a Superman Punch and a spear to seal the victory. Even The Tribal Chief was taken aback by the performance of Logan Paul.
