Veteran India spinner Harbhajan Singh questioned Yuzvendra Chahal’s selection in the Indian ODI squad against South Africa. The BCCI picked India’s squad for a multi-format series against South Africa, starting on December 10. While Chahal had been snubbed from several important tournaments, he received a call for the ODI squad against South Africa. Former India cricketer feels that Chahal has been given a ‘lollypop’, and pointed out his exclusion from the T20I squad.
Singh said on his YouTube channel, "There is no Yuzvendra Chahal in T20 format. You kept him in ODIs but not T20Is. Lollypop de diya hai bande ko (They just gave him a lollypop to suck on). We won't take in the format where you do well but will take for other formats. It's beyond my understanding.”
