Doncic buried 45 points alongside nine rebounds and 14 assists, however, the home side pulled off a win as Cavaliers forward Max Strus scored a buzzer-beater three when the hosts were behind one point. Luka Doncic scored 27 first-half points with four three-pointers as the Mavericks led the Cavaliers by four points after two quarters. In the 121-119 loss against the Cavaliers, Luka registered 45 points with 17-of-29 shooting from the field and 6-of-11 from beyond the arc.
Ahead of the game, Luka received heartfelt greetings from the fans in Cleveland, who sang 'Happy Birthday' in Slovenian. In a viral video on social media, the fans in Cleveland wished Luka a Happy Birthday while the Mavericks guard signed autographs for the fans.
