Cristiano Ronaldo has always been a subject matter of news headlines and reports. However, it has not been for his exploits on the field lately. In fact, it has far from been a season to remember for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.

But it is not his effort to silence his critics through his performances that is making the noise but instead the man's explosive interview with Piers Morgan. In a few already published parts of the interview, Ronaldo can be seen blasting many facets of the club, going on to say on air that he does not respect the team's manager Erik Ten Hag because the latter does not respect him back.

He even seemed unimpressed with the stagnation at the club, claiming that the training facilities are the same as how he had left during his first stint in 2009.

And now on the day, the first part of the interview is said to be aired, a large poster featuring Ronaldo from the side of the "Theatre of Dreams" is being removed. The video of the same has now gone viral.

Although reports claim that the poster was always going to be removed this week as part of a rebranding since the venue is set to host the men's and women's Rugby League World Cup final on Saturday, the fact that it comes just before Ronaldo's interview airing time has fuelled transfer speculations.

In a tweet, Morgan has already suggested that there are plenty more big revelations that the ageing superstar has made in this interview, and he has also shared his view on his rival Lionel Messi.

Nonetheless, Ronaldo is far from the Premier League for now as the record international goal-scorer aims to leave a greater impact in World Cup history as he currently has just seven goals in 17 matches across four different World Cups.

Ronaldo needs three more goals at the FIFA World Cup 2022 to surpass the legendary Eusebio as the top goal-scorer for Portugal. Eusebio netted 9 FIFA World Cup goals, all of them in the 1966 edition of the tournament to win the golden boot.
