Hours after Manchester United registered a thrilling 1-0 win over Wolves at Molineaux, star performer Antony escaped a horrific car crash as the Brazilian rammed his BMW X6 into roadways in the M56. The 22-year-old termed the incident a 'shock' and expressed gratitude towards God for 'putting it behind him.'

The United’s £85 million summer signing was left out of the squad for the Red Devils' 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday but was back in the team for the 3-1 win over Everton in the FA Cup on Friday.
"First of all, it's a feeling of joy, I am happy to score again and especially at home. I have set some goals for me this season and it's good to score as soon as I start to think about personal goals. But the most important is United's qualification," Anton told TNT Sports after United's win over Everton.
"I feel relieved as in the last few days I had a shock, but I prefer not to comment on what happened. It was a personal matter, really hard but I am very grateful to God for putting this behind me now," Antony added. He further 'thanked' the club, players and the manager for staying by his side in tough times.

Notably, Antony was absent from Tuesday’s win over Bournemouth after which Ten Hag claimed the Brazil international was nursing an injury.
"This is my mind frame now, I am 100 per cent focused on honouring the fans and the club. We all know the size of this club we want to put United back where it deserves. It was a really, really difficult moment for me. But God has always been by my side, and I am also grateful to my family. I dedicate this goal to them and it’s in moments like these that you know who really loves you," Antony added.
